I’ve been paying attention to people for a long time.

Any person telling me the truth about their life has my undivided attention.

I’ve been a commercial fisherman, worked in restaurants and on small ships, sold things, built businesses, and spent more than 20 years coaching people through change.

I’ve worked with people through business, leadership, relationships, money, identity, ambition, success, failure, and the occasional what the hell am I doing with my life?

Very little surprises me.

Along the way, I’ve become good at seeing patterns, especially the ones that are hard to see when you’re standing inside your own life.

I want to know what people are building, changing their minds about, trying, wanting, and figuring out.

My job isn’t to have the smartest answer in the room. It’s to create the kind of room where we can tell the truth, hold a lot at once, and see what’s actually going on.

I’m comfortable when there isn’t an obvious answer.
