Plan for success, but save the problem-solving of that plan for when the problems actually arise.
This was advice I gave (and am constantly giving!) to my Lead Your Profit course clients during their coaching calls.
Here’s why it’s also important for you…
Person A:
Dreams of their coaching business being fully booked and how she’ll need to start doing groups… Which leads to this line of thinking…
- I’m going to need Zoom Webinar.
- I better get a course outlined and set myself up on Kajabi.
- Wait, is Kajabi better than Thinkific? Or, should I use Teachable for my course platform?
- I’m going to need to sell 193 programs to make this work.
- I don’t think I have the list size for that.
- I better go buy a program to build my list.
- …and on… and on… and on…
Person B:
Dreams of their coaching business being fully booked and how, once it is, she’ll be positioned for group programs… Which leads to this line of thinking…
- What is the next revenue-generating action I can take?
- Ask myself a good question: What do the next 3 clients who want to hire me need to hear today so that they are on the path to creating the result they want?
- Answers that question…
- Goes and does that thing…
- REPEAT.
I think you get this because you’re super smart, but just in case, I’ll say it out loud: “BE PERSON B.”
ALWAYS, BE PERSON B.
Dream big. Then live in reality today. Work the business you have today. Serve the potential clients you have today (and the ones you already have, really well!).
