I’ve been thinking about remarkability.  Operating in a way that people can’t help but remark about you.  Doing things, showing up in ways, and serving from a place that people can’t help but talk about your work, who you are to them.

I’m talking about the curve of your work.  The stuff you put out. The lens through which you filter your gifts.   Is it remarkable? Are people talking about it?

Would you talk about it?

Do you?

Merrium Webster defines remarkable as: “Worthy of being or likely to be noticed especially as being uncommon or extraordinary”

When you put it like that I immediately get a little gun-shy, like, that sounds too hard or too exclusive.

But is it?

Think about the last person or business you made a remark about – because they, in your mind, are extraordinary.   Think about them. They are just one person or one business in a sea – AN OCEAN – of businesses and people… Yet, you remarked, so they are remarkable!

You can be too.

PS: Special shout to Seth Godin for inspiring these thoughts.
