Self Awareness.

Google defines it as:

Conscious knowledge of one’s own character, feelings, motives, and desires.

Let’s look at that more closely.

Character: the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual
Feelings: an emotional state or reaction.
Motives: a reason for doing something, especially one that is hidden or not obvious.
Desires: a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen.

So… If you want to be distinctive, own your reactions, know what you really want, and go after it – you’ll want to be “self aware.”

I’m in!

Are you in?

You totally don’t have to be, but even choosing to ignore Self at this juncture would mean you’re using self awareness…

I’m not sure you can get out of this one.

You can ignore it, push it away with the things you beat yourself up for doing, or you can dive in.

I say DIVE.

Dive with all your might – because on the other side of self awareness is self acceptance and that is where it gets really good.

More next week!
