After this past year, there is no more community-wide lie that people in the workplace don’t also have a real life at home (because we SAW it). In the midst of COVID we were forced to recognize that both exist, simultaneously.
And, because of that, we are not going back to a typical 9-5 corporate environment.
The status quo is simply not good enough anymore… It’s not working (and hasn’t been for quite some time). The companies and teams that will do the best moving forward are the ones that will allow people to do the work the way they want to do it, where they want to get it done, and even – in many cases – at the pace of their choosing (in conjunction with company goals).
The way we work has changed and will continue to change. “What a tremendous moment and opportunity this is.”
