We all do.

It happens with feelings.
Two really easy identifiers are envy and comparison.
They don’t feel very good at first glance – but don’t get them wrong. They are the cover emotion for the vision of your future that you’re not quite living into fully yet.
They are there to say, “Hey! Yo! You’ve got dreams! Remember!”
Don’t forget to pay attention to what you want. They are here to help you.
Try this:
The next time you notice you are jealous of someone’s life in any way, or you are green with envy about fill-in-the-blank, or you can’t stop making yourself feel terrible by comparing yourself with you-know-who…
STOP! Thank yourself for the heads up…
…and ask yourself any of the following questions:
- What is really wanting my attention here?
- Where in my life do I want more of _______?
- If this feeling was a gift, what would I see?
- What wants to be seen here?
- What about that person do I really admire and want more of?
- What is the desire under here?
Or, something along those lines. Let the feelings that crop up, that might be less desirable, point the way to what is wanting to come next.
