“If you or your team can’t tell someone what you’re doing or who you’re helping – nobody else can either, and that will cost you time, money, and people.”

You’ve seen the mission on the wall.  You’ve got the stationary. The logo is perfection…  But what is it you do exactly? And who do you do it for?  And why are we all in on doing this thing together? Even when it’s hard?

Clarity is Queen.

I heard a local car dealership commercial on the radio the other day that has stuck with me “We don’t sell cars, we just help you buy one.”

I am very clear what that means. They are going to help me get the right car for me, and they’ll be helpful…  It’s essentially the same as saying “we sell you a car.” but it’s more than that – it’s saying they care more about me than the other people.  They’re helpful.

If you sell a thing – why do you sell it?

If you sell a service – what is the reason your service is different than somebody else selling the same service?

Kind of gets back to that idea of being remarkable.

The added layer of this kind of remarkability is that not only do your customers know what you do, so does your team.  Even the person who comes in for a small contractor position knows who you are and why you are showing up.

Once everyone is on board – then EVERYONE can get on board – and that means more of all the things you want.  Impact being on top of that list.

Go get clear, then share, seriously.  I want to hear what you do – let me know.
