Here is the shortest and most comprehensive business school lesson you’ll ever get from me… or, likely, anyone.

Your business has 5 parts that you need to understand, track, and pay attention to:

  1. Lead Generation.  Getting people to raise their hand to follow you or keep watching what you’re up to. They’re on your list. High 5!
  1. Lead Nurture.  Now that they are on the list – you send them nice things! Hello, freebie! Hello, newsletters! Hello, friends!
  1. Conversion. The sales conversation. Where potential clients become clients (aka – they actually pay you).
  1. Delivery. Yay! You have clients! Take good care of them. Do what you said you’d do!
  1. Resell and Upsell.  Now that you have clients and you take great care of them, some of them should be excited to KEEP working with you! Take this as a sign that things are working.

Now that you know what is happening all the time, whether you’re paying attention or not, ask yourself this one question:

Which area do I need to work on the most?  

Trust me – knowing the answer to that one question can save you tens of thousands of dollars and keep the clients coming!
